First Lutheran, Port Wing, Wisconsin

 First Lutheran’s mission is to: “Provide a place of worship and meet the spiritual needs of the whole South Shore community and to participate in the life of the church as a whole.”

Some of the things we do at First Lutheran:

​•   Conducts weekly Sunday worship
•   Celebrates special family services on the 4th Sunday of the month
•   Supports other local charities
•   Hosts the annual Lutefisk Dinner in December
•   Provides welcome baskets to new residents
•   Supports the Fig Leaf, the area thrift store, with volunteer hours and donations
•   Supports BRICK Ministries, the local food shelf with food donations and financial support
•   Provides meals for South Shore School students waiting for evening home athletic events
•   Celebrates a children's Halloween party with fun foods & games

​After a successful mission of serving meals to the youth and adults who stay after school for evening basketball games, First Lutheran received $300 from the South Shore School Penny War!  These funds will be used for more outreach mission work that will most likely include feeding youth at First Lutheran Church again.
