Recently our HS Youth Group participated in a Mini-Winter Retreat at the School Forest. We played Monster Jenga, Snow Golf, had dinner, and discussed what "noise" we all had in our lives (unwanted distractions, things that overwhelm us, or contact mental chatter that can disrupt our focus, peace, and overall well-being). We then brainstormed ways to manage that "noise" including praying, setting boundaries, practicing mindfulness, prioritizing, digitally disconnecting, self-care, and remembering to ask "what would Jesus do?" We ended the evening with a candlelight prayer walk through the school forest.
