Support Ministry - Building and Grounds
2016 Annual Report
This past year the support committee lists the following accomplishments:
• Messiah’s sign on Hwy 13 was upgraded and replaced to include the RIC logo.
• The altar guild and downstairs dining rooms were painted.
• Many bulbs in the church were replaced with better lighting and energy efficient LED bulbs.
• New downstairs speakers were installed in the kitchen, fellowship hall and dining area.
• The lights and fans were cleaned in the sanctuary.
• New slip resistant pads were installed by the entry ways.
• The dining area and kitchen floors were cleaned and waxed.
• A new stove was installed in the kitchen.
• Little Library was installed.
As usual were didn’t accomplish as much as we had hoped, but as the saying goes there is always next year, and here we are into next year.
Projects that we hope to accomplish in 2017 are as follows:
• Upkeep and improvements on the parsonage
• Replace or repair church steeple
• Repair and paint ceiling and walls in fellowship hall
• Replace orange carpet in fellowship hall
• Repair, paint, or replace cladding and deteriorating wood on entire church
• Replace deteriorated basement windows of the parsonage
We have saved the expense of hiring a janitor this past year by utilizing volunteer help, but more help is needed. We have volunteers who have generously been cleaning the dining area, toilets and upstairs offices and hallways. We are still looking for a volunteer who would vacuum the fellowship hall and another volunteer who would vacuum the sanctuary. Neither one of these two jobs would take more than an hour a week. If there is anyone out there who would want to help with these two janitorial duties either on a part time or permanent basis, please call Bob Leis at 715-373-0187.
Respectfully submitted, Bob Leis
Note from Pastor Nancy: Bob Leis and Bob Follis do the bulk of this work and are recruiting for more members. They are great teachers and would love your help!
