Washburn-Bayfield Community Vacation Bible School 2014 “Running the Race”

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you…
It truly takes a community to provide a Vacation Bible School for 50 young people representing 14 different churches! (19 youth represented Messiah Lutheran.) It was a fantastic sight to see! During the week of July 14th, young people learned about Hebrews 12:1-3 while participating in bible studies, recreation, games, crafts, story time, snacks, nature studies, songs & skits.
They learned the importance of “Running the Race!” Though Luther Park provided six dynamic counselors and we had a dedicated committee and three partnering churches, this would not have happened without YOU! So many people contributed. Perhaps you assisted or participated in a fund raiser. You may have donated financially in another way. Maybe you shared an idea or a memory you had about your own days at bible camp. Perhaps you came to Worship in the Park or the closing finale.
Others shared their excitement for this project with positive comments. Maybe you encouraged a child to attend VBS or maybe your own child or grandchild attended. We could not have done this project without host homes and volunteers. We thank all of you for your contributions!
Pastor Nancy extends a special thank-you to our VBS Director, Dede Maki. Without her vision and ability to rally the troops, we would not have had such a successful week. Along with Dede who wrote the above, I add my heartfelt thanks to all!
